Our Decoration Services
At Shirt City we don't just sell apparel —we decorate it. Whether you need ten polo shirts for your team or a hundred high-vis vests for site, we handle the full job in house using four decoration methods: embroidery, heat transfer (DTF), vinyl, and sublimation. Send us your logo and a few details, and we'll come back with a tailored quote.
Embroidery
The most professional and durable finish for corporate wear, polos, jackets, caps, and workwear.
Stitched directly into the fabric for a premium look that lasts the life of the garment.
• Best for: corporate uniforms, polos, caps, jackets, workwear
• Minimum order: 10 units
• One-off digitising fee applies per logo (this converts your artwork into a stitch file — done
once, then re-usable for all future orders)
Heat Transfer (DTF)
Direct-to-Film transfer printing — full-colour, photo-quality designs pressed onto the garment.
Excellent for detailed or multi-colour logos, gradients, and small text.
• Best for: t-shirts, hoodies, kids' wear, multi-colour designs, photographic logos
• No minimum order
• Soft hand-feel, machine washable
Vinyl (Cut-and-Press)
Single or two-colour designs cut from coloured vinyl and heat-pressed onto the garment. Ideal for names, numbers, and bold solid-colour graphics.
• Best for: sports team names and numbers, simple logos, single-colour text
• No minimum order
• Highly durable, great on performance fabrics
Sublimation
Dye-sublimation prints the design directly into the fabric fibres for a permanent, completely flat finish that won't crack, peel, or fade.
• Best for: polyester sportswear, fully customised garments, large all-over designs
• No minimum order (subject to garment availability)
• Works only on light-coloured polyester or polyester-coated garments

Pricing & Production Details
Pricing
All custom decoration jobs are quoted on request, because the cost depends on your decoration method, quantity, garment, and design complexity. Submit the form below and we'll come back with a written quote within one business day.
Artwork Requirements
Please supply your logo in one of these high-resolution formats:
• Vector files (preferred): .ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg
• High-resolution raster files: .png or .jpg at minimum 300 dpi
Don't have a vector file? No problem — we can vectorise your logo for an additional fee. Just upload what you have and we'll quote the vectorisation along with the decoration job.
For embroidery, vector artwork is essential — small text, fine detail, and gradients don't translate to stitches, so we may suggest small adjustments to make the design embroider cleanly.
Turnaround Times
We strive for 2–5 business days for standard decoration jobs. For embroidery and heat transfer orders we will confirm the exact turnaround by email at the quote stage — it depends on quantity, decoration complexity and current workload.
Need it for a specific date? Let us know in the form and we'll confirm whether we can hit your deadline before you commit.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order just one shirt with my logo?
For heat transfer, vinyl, and sublimation — yes. For embroidery, the minimum order is 10 units because of the digitising setup.
What's a digitising fee?
Embroidery machines can't read a logo file directly — the artwork has to be converted into a stitch file. That conversion is the digitising fee. It's a once-off cost per logo, after which the file can be re-used for all future orders without paying again.
Can you match my brand colours exactly?
We'll get as close as possible, but exact colour matching depends on the decoration method and the thread or vinyl colour range available. We'll discuss colour options when we send your proof.
Can I supply my own garments?
Contact us first — we'll need to check the fabric is compatible with the decoration method, and supplied garments are decorated at the customer's risk.
Can I see a sample before ordering a large run?
Yes. Sample garments can be arranged for
larger orders. Ask about this in your quote request.
